Information on the CameoEdit
The Others, also known as the White Walkers and exclusively by the latter name in the TV series, are the true, but so-far-seldom-seen, antagonistic force of A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin and its HBO television adaptation Game of Thrones. They are seemingly-omnicidally hostile icy-bodied undead humanoids that live beyond the Wall to the North of the Seven Kingdoms (which was built in the first place to keep them out) and have the ability to raise dead humans as zombies in their service, known as Wights. At the start of the series, the White Walkers have not been encountered for thousands of years and are therefore dismissed as mere myth by most of the characters, with the early warning signs of their return going largely unheeded as a result of this.
The leader of the White Walkers, the Night King, only appears in the TV series thus far, and is only loosely based on the Night's King, a long-dead historical person connected to the Others mentioned in the books.
